Picture
Network members from all over Europe were invited to meet with Italy's Council for Islam on June 24, and discuss how governments can better work with "moderate" Muslims to counter Islamic Extremism. The Advisory Council was established in 2005 by the Italian Ministry of Interior to facilitate constructive dialogue between the State and Italy's Muslim citizens. Network member, Ejaz Ahmad participates in the Council.

The meeting served as an opportunity for a discussion on "Islam and Citizenship" held at the Italian Parliament with five Members of Parliament, which was broadcast on satellite TV and streamed live on the Internet.
